Lexington Hearth Non-Combustible Fireplace Mantels, Mantel Shelves, and Surrounds.

Non-combustible Fireplace Mantels

Our Kentucky-inspired mantels are crafted in the heart of the Bluegrass region, using antique wood salvaged from historic barns, farms, and cabins in Central Kentucky. These mantels authentically replicate the rich wood grain of the original wood and are made with Burncrete, a patented non-combustible casting material. This allows them to look like a natural wood mantel while also enabling installation closer to heat sources.

Our mantels are unique and beautiful and can be installed closer to heat sources than traditional wood mantels. This makes them an ideal solution for protecting a TV mounted above a fireplace and helps reduce clearance requirements, providing a better viewing angle for your comfort.

“Best Seller” products are kept in inventory and usually ship out in 1-2 days. Everything else is made-to-order and will ship out within 3-5 days.

What makes our Fireplace Mantels the best?

Our Patented Non-combustible Burncrete

The most time-consuming part of installing a traditional timber mantel is and they will tell you is finding the right piece of wood. To be useful, the selected timber must be sound enough to be milled into the proper dimensions and display enough character to be visually exciting. Even more important, the selected timber must have the look that the client wants. Some clients are looking for a mantel that still has some bark showing which is known as a “live edge”. Others want a timber that shows past saw and tool marks, and yet others want a timber that looks like it just fell off a tree. You can see how much time is spent finding and milling the proper timber. Our Lexington Hearth mantels eliminate all the work of finding the perfect timber. We have done the hard work for you.

Whatever you’re looking for, Lexington Hearth has you covered. Our factory team of artisans have scoured Central Kentucky looking at timber and stone mantels salvaged from historic barns, cabins, farms, and industrial buildings.  They selected only the very best to become the master models used to create the molds for our noncombustible mantels and fireplace surrounds.

Our Highly Skilled Artisans

Unlike our competitors, our high-relief molding process lets us capture minute details from the original timber or stone.  Every crack, check, and indentation is accurately reproduced in our molds.  You can see and feel the grain lines from the original timber or stone as well as the saw and tool marks.  The result is a perfect recreation of the original timber or stone.

Once the molded mantel is dry, our highly skilled color artists take over and hand-paint each mantel or surround to produce an exact reproduction of the original timber or stone.  The paints we use are nontoxic, noncombustible, and designed to withstand high temperatures associated with a fireplace application.  Our paints are designed to last a lifetime and stand up to the elements in outdoor applications.
